About Top Creators

Our Mission

Top Creators is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting online creators at every stage of their journey. We believe that the independent creator economy represents one of the most significant cultural and economic shifts of our time — yet millions of creators lack access to the guidance, tools, and community they need to succeed sustainably. Our mission is to close that gap by advancing creator economy education, championing fair practices, and delivering free resources for content creators worldwide.

We envision a creator economy where every individual — regardless of background, platform, or niche — has equitable access to the knowledge, networks, and support systems necessary to build a thriving creative career. Through advocacy, education, and direct service, Top Creators works to ensure that the people powering the digital content ecosystem are empowered, informed, and protected.

What We Do

Top Creators operates across four core program areas designed to address the most pressing needs of online creators today.

Education and Skill Development. We develop and distribute free educational curricula covering content strategy, audience growth, monetization models, financial literacy, intellectual property rights, and mental health. Our workshops, webinars, and self-paced courses are designed by experienced creators and industry professionals who understand the real-world challenges of building a sustainable creative business.

Resource Distribution. We curate and provide free toolkits, templates, legal guides, and platform-comparison resources that help creators make informed decisions. From contract templates to platform policy explainers, our resource library removes barriers that disproportionately affect emerging and underrepresented creators.

Community and Mentorship. Through our global mentorship network, we connect aspiring creators with established professionals who provide one-on-one guidance, portfolio reviews, and career coaching. We also facilitate peer learning circles, regional meetups, and online forums where creators can share insights and support one another.

Advocacy and Research. We conduct and publish independent research on trends affecting the creator economy — from algorithmic bias to payment transparency — and advocate for policies that protect creator rights. Our policy briefs and public reports provide data-driven insights that inform both creators and decision-makers.

Our Story

Top Creators was founded in 2021 by a small group of independent content creators and digital rights advocates who recognized a persistent problem: while the creator economy was growing at an unprecedented rate, the infrastructure to support creators had not kept pace. Platform policies were opaque, educational resources were scattered or paywalled, and there was no centralized nonprofit voice advocating for the interests of everyday creators.

What began as a volunteer-led initiative sharing free guides in online forums quickly grew into a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving thousands of creators across six continents. Today, Top Creators operates with a dedicated team of staff, an active board of directors, and a global network of volunteer mentors and contributors who share a common belief — that the creator economy works best when every creator has a fair shot.
